First Trimester Abortion.

What is abortion?

Abortion is the medical termination of a pregnancy before the fetus can survive outside the womb. It may be performed through medication or a surgical procedure, depending on the stage of pregnancy and the patient’s health condition. Abortion can be elective (by choice) or therapeutic (due to medical reasons such as risks to the mother’s health or severe fetal abnormalities). In India, abortion is legal under specific conditions, as defined by the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act.
